You will work closely with architects, civil engineers, and project managers to ensure that all structures meet safety, performance, and regulatory requirements while optimising build efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review structural design documentation, calculations, and specifications for residential, modular, and civil structures.

  • Provide engineering certification (RPEQ) in compliance with QBCC, NCC, and Australian Standards.

  • Liaise with architects, builders, and fabricators to ensure design coordination and constructability.

  • Undertake structural inspections, site assessments, and compliance reporting.

  • Develop innovative solutions for prefabricated, modular, and lightweight systems.

  • Review and approve shop drawings, design changes, and construction methodologies.

  • Support the project team through technical review, value engineering, and risk assessment.

  • Ensure all documentation aligns with council and certification requirements.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

  • RPEQ Registration (Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland) required or eligible.

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in structural engineering, ideally within residential or modular construction.

  • Strong knowledge of Australian Standards (AS 1170, AS 4100, AS 3600, AS 2870, NCC, and relevant codes).

  • Proven ability to design in steel, concrete, and timber systems, with exposure to modular or prefabricated construction advantageous.

  • Proficient in design software such as SpaceGass, Strand7, Revit, or similar.

  • Excellent documentation, coordination, and stakeholder communication skills.

  • Commitment to safety, innovation, and design excellence.

What’s in it for You

  • Join a progressive developer-builder at the forefront of modular and community-scale construction.

  • Work across a diverse range of projects — from residential housing to infrastructure and modular innovation.

  • Be part of a collaborative, technically driven environment with real impact on community outcomes.

  • Competitive remuneration and professional development support toward further registration or accreditation.

  • Opportunity for long-term career growth within GRW’s integrated engineering and development network.
